Newton Dee has always aimed to be a community of people, who live together with the ideals of a shared life, each person contributes to the carrying of the community according to their ability.
Thomas Moore, about to complete his PhD in Philosophy at Sheffield University, has carried out research on “What the practical organisation of support for people with learning disabilities should look like if we take seriously the view that who we are is inseparable from the communities and relationships we are part of.”
This article shows a great insight into the understanding of our aims and ideals in Newton Dee. We have invited Thomas Moore to visit our community on completion of his PhD.
