Kilt Walk Success

A group of 40 villagers, co-workers, employees and volunteers signed up to support Newton Dee by walking the Kilt Walk 2025. Twenty-one of them completed the “Wee Wander” which was an impressive feat for some who can find walking tricky. Some also managed the long walk (18 miles from Banchory to Duthie Park in Aberdeen) and represented Newton Dee brilliantly with their grit and determination. All in all the group managed to raise over £10,000 towards our new Bakery.

There was a strong sense of camaraderie as hundreds of walkers, representing many different charities, walked side by side, helping one another when required. The Newton Dee group on the Wee Wander, took an empty wheelchair which was almost permanently occupied by walkers who needed a bit of a break along the way.

The event was well managed and supported by volunteers who guided and supported the 100s of walkers along the way. Our gratitude must go to them as well as to the national organisers of the event.

THANK YOU !!
