Meaningful work producing quality goods and services of value to others is an important part of life. Everyone – with the exception of those who are unable to participate due to age or health – has work in our various enterprises.
These enterprises include our café, gift shop, grocery store, bakery and confectionary, serve the Newton Dee community and the wider public. Our biodynamic farms and gardens rear cattle, pigs, sheep and poultry, and grow vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers. Our workshops produce hand crafted wooden goods, fine furniture plus toys, copper work and other metal items. Each day one can be involved in a number of work activities using existing skills and gaining new ones.
Farms
There are two farms on Newton Dee. As well as milk our farms supply beef and pork to the community.
