Newton Dee offers opportunities to people with a wide spectrum of learning disabilities and special needs.
We welcome requests concerning admissions from individuals, their families and social workers. Successful applicants are normally invited to try life at Newton Dee for a period to ensure that the lifestyle really meets their needs and is mutually beneficial. We are not in a position to be able to offer places to those who need to be closely monitored or present extremely challenging behaviour,
Anyone coming to Newton Dee is expected to make a personal commitment to community life, as this is about helping each other, sharing the good times and the more difficult moments.
Newton Dee’s Welfare Group, made up of committed long-term co-workers, provides continuity of support for residents and is responsible for their overall wellbeing. The group meets weekly and monitors 3 monthly reports and annual reviews for every resident. Newton Dee is always keen to develop and improve its procedures in all aspects of daily life.
