Newton Dee is a Camphill community in Aberdeen, Scotland. We offer a home and meaningful work along with opportunities for personal development to adults with learning disabilities and other special needs.

In all some 200 people live and work within the Newton Dee community. Around half have special needs. The others are mainly co-workers and their families, students  employees and volunteers.

The ethos of Newton Dee is that everyone brings to the community different abilities, which we use for the benefit of those around us. The community is therefore bound together by the support, which each individual gives and receives. Every member of our community is respected and appreciated as an individual.

Newton Dee's home life is based around large and small households ranging from 4 to 16 people, these houses offer supported living. In addition there are apartments, bedsits, and independent living.

There are over 20 households in Newton Dee’s wooded grounds, which extend to a total of 180 acres, of which 120 acres are dedicated to our biodynamic farms.

There are two farms on Newton Dee. As well as milk our farms supply beef and pork to the community.

Our bakers bake award winning bread available in the Store or why not come and try a cake baked in the confectionary together with a relaxing cup of coffee.
